More expensive remedies stimulate growth Hypermarcas

Sao Paulo-the largest part of the growth of 11.4% in revenue Hypermarcas came from the price increase that she applied in April. Net revenue reached R$ 807,100,000 in the second quarter of the year.

According to the President of the company, Claudio Bergamo, the volume of sold products remained stable in the quarter.

The prices of medicines and other products of the company have increased because of higher costs, especially with the appreciation of the dollar.

Beyond the volatility of the exchange rate, the company suffered from the fickle climate.

The delay in arrival of winter also delayed revenues. Sales of the medicine Benegripe and Coristina, for example, began later that year, explained the President.

"But we have good news, those drugs had great demand last month and sales are a good way. We are also expanding the Benegripe for children, with the Multi Benegripe "said Bergamo.

To reverse the stability in sales volume, the company strengthened the team of visiting doctors, to inform about the new products and handing out freebies and samples.

Also seeks to modernise its lines of drugs, for example in the sectors of nutrition and skin care. "We need to work to get a jump on our lines for the molecules of last generation," said the President.

The net profit was R$, up 176,400,000 59.1% over the same period last year.

The improvement was due to the reduction of financial expenses, with the change of capital structure after the sale of the business of cosmetics for Coty.

The sale also positively impacted free cash flow, which reached R$ in the quarter, compared with R$ 223,000,000 7,000,000 negatives in the same quarter of 2015.

She finished the period with R$ 252,200,000 in the box. The number does not include the second installment receivable from the sale of condoms.
