FAA approves officially allowed for recovery of luggage on flights

The Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) approved officially on Tuesday morning (13) permission for airlines cover by order of luggage. This was announced yesterday and goes for tickets sold from March 14 next year. The full document shall be published in the Official Journal of the Union tomorrow.
The end of the compulsory excess luggage is part of the new General Conditions of air transport. According to Anac, the new rules are aimed at adapting the Brazil to the main international standards.
The Agency claims that the measures should reduce airline costs and, consequently, decrease the price of the tickets. However, the Faa makes no warranties that this actually occurs, because Brazil has pricing freedom for air tickets.
"The Agency can''t say that prices will fall because of other factors, such as the economic situation of the country, the cost of oil and the dollar. But the behavior around the world demonstrates that this is reflected in benefits to passengers, "said Ricardo Catanant, tracking air service Superintendent of the Faa.
Currently, passengers can take a suitcase of up to 23 kg on domestic flights and two 32 kg bags on international trips. With the new rules, airlines will have the freedom to decide on the quantity and weight of the bags included in the value of the ticket or the additional charge for the order.
