Building material sales grow 5.5% in November

Building material sales grew 5.5% in November compared with October and 6% compared with the same month last year.
The data are from monthly survey of the National Association of traders of construction materials (Anamaco), which heard five shopkeepers 530 regions of the country, from 25 to 30 November.
The survey, done with the support of the Brazilian Association of paint manufacturers, Brazil Chrysotile Institute, National Association of manufacturers and Industry Union Artifacts of non-ferrous metals of Sao Paulo revealed that the southern and northeastern regions had the best results of the month, followed by the North. Midwest and Southeast already presented little more than sales last month.
The same performance should not be expected for this month, according to the President of Anamaco, Claudius Conz.

Conz said that the industry''s turnover last year was R$ 115 billion, a fall of 5.8% compared to 2014.
Since the Association began tracking annual retail historic series in 1994, this is the first time the industry registers retraction in two years in a row.
Nevertheless, the Outlook for 2017 are positive. "The impact of the launch of the Reform and the resumption of Card Construcard must begin to be senses already at the beginning of the year. The biggest offer of credit and interest on minors should positively influence our sales, "said the President of Anamaco.
Conz informed the entity still projects a growth of 3% in the first half. "In the second half of 2017, we anticipate 6% and, for the next year, the expectation is of 5% growth on 2016".
According to the survey, about 39% of retailers surveyed intend to make investments in the next 12 months and 11% should hire employees in December. Already the optimism with respect to the actions of the Government in the coming months from 55% to 50 shied%.
