Brazilian chicken meat by Exchange, and price goes up 2.91% in November

The crisis led the Brazilian to make exchanges on the plate: meat and entered the chicken. In November, the price of whole chicken rose 2.91% 1.43% high in October. Already the chicken into pieces climbed 1.50 percent in November, after deflation of 0.58% in October. In the case of meat, however, the high prices slowed from 2.64% in October to 0.22% in November.

In twelve months, the prices of whole chicken rose 8.55%, while the advanced meat only 3.81%. During the period, food prices rose 10.17%.
The chicken is having demand pressure. People stop consuming meat and go for the chicken. Although the price of arroba (boi) has risen in October, the reaction of demand has prevented a larger high-prices pointed to price indexes Coordinator of IBGE, Ange Nunes. This is the time of the off season in the market, when the supply of cattle is smaller and the price tends to go up. The lack of demand, however, has held the price to the consumer.

Modal Asset Economist, Daniel Silva explains that the low elevation of the meat price reflects the budget adjustment of families. With rising unemployment and falling incomes, the tendency is to reduce spending: the price of meat has atypical behavior for this time of year. With the crisis, people tend to resort to second, meat and chicken.
