Apothecary expects sales best at Christmas, but still weak consumption

SAO PAULO-the Group expects sales Apothecary "a little better" for Christmas this year in about 2015, although the Brazilian consumption still weak, said on Wednesday the President of the cosmetics company, Arthur Grynbaum.
The Executive said during the company''s event that it expects group sales to grow "single digits" this year and that the company must terminate 2016 with 70 stores opening in the country. The initial forecast was for 35 to 50 units add to the network.
Asked about market share, said the group follows advancing, but gave no details.
For 2017, Grynbaum stated that the investments of the group, including the flags Apothecary, Eudora, Who Said, Berenice? and The Beauty Box, must be around the level of 2015, of the order of 250 million reais.
Part of this investment will go toward the international expansion of the group, which is opening this week three who said stores, Berenice? in Portugal.
"This will be a good pilot, has to live with him for a while to figure out the answer and, if you are working, the idea is to open more stores there," he said. The group is already present in the country with the Apothecary.
He even pointed out the presence in Colombia, also with the flag O Boticário, stating that it will be the second Christmas of the company in the country.
"I want to hit my hand to walk well in these two countries, so it''s going to take more investment to be able to implement better operations," said Grynbaum.
The Executive said that in the short and medium terms not the Group has no intention to list on the stock exchange with an initial offering of shares (IPO, the acronym in English).
"IPO only has meaning if it comes as part of a strategy; to monetize only, it would not be the case. "
