AB InBev Sells 26.4 percent slice of Distell

Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) announced today (15) which will sell its share of 26.4% at Distell South African for the Public Investment Corporation, a company controlled by the Government of South Africa. The value of the transaction was not disclosed. AB InBev is selling assets as part of a deal with European regulators to ensure the approval of its acquisition of SABMiller, which was completed in October. Yet this week, the AB InBev reported the sale of five brands of beer from Eastern Europe to the Japanese Asahi beer producer Group Holdings, in a transaction valued at 7.3 billion euros ($ 7.8 billion).
