The British Group British American Tobacco (BAT) presented on Friday an offer of 47 billion dollars, in cash and stock to acquire 57.8% of the shares of Reynolds American that still lacks.
The company, which owns the brands Dunhill, Lucky Strike, Kent and Pall Mall, among others, announced in a statement that he made the offer to the Board of Directors of Reynolds (Camel, among other brands).
So far no formal negotiations were initiated, the Group explained.
