Galderma invests R $ 200 mi in new factory

Campinas and region-Galderma, brand that belongs to the Nestlé Group Skin Health and works with the manufacture of dermatological products, did last week the launch of the foundation stone for the construction of its new plant in Hortolândia.
The event was attended by the CEO of Nestle Skin Health, Humberto Antunes; the President of Galderma in Brazil, Luís Fernando Lenski; the Director of Galderma in Hortolândia, Adrien Pizzi; the Deputy Mayor and Secretary of Government, Renata Belufe, representing the Mayor Antonio Meira; and the Secretary of industry, Commerce, services and tourism, Dimas Correa.
With the goal of increasing production and deploy the new factory Galderma will invest about $ 200 million in the expansion of production. The company is in the Tech Town of IBM, in Jardim São Bento. The unit will have 48 thousand m ² area, being 16 thousand m ² of constructed area. It is estimated to generate 300 direct jobs and 450 indirect.
The products manufactured by the brand are for cosmetic and dermatological treatment, such as moisturizers and sunscreens, among others. Scheduled to go into operation in 2018, the unit will have capacity to produce about 64 million product units per year. "Our goal is to improve the quality of life of people. The countries where most grew up are Brazil and China. We believe in the future of the country, Galderma, in our investments. We estimate many more jobs in the coming decades, "emphasized the CEO of Nestlé Skin Health, Humberto Antunes.
The President of Galderma in Brazil pointed out that the expanding factory already has approved reports by the Health Department and other agencies, with the agility of Hortolândia. "I am proud and happy to participate in this moment so important for Galderma," Lenski said.

The Secretary of industry, Commerce, services and tourism, Dimas Correa Padua said the negotiations for the extension of Galderma in Hortolândia started in 2013.
