Accumulated exports of pigmeat in natura grow 7.8%

In rate of growth since may, Brazilian exports of pig meat in natura accumulate a 7.8 percent growth in the first eight months of 2015 compared to the same period last year, with total of 284.5 million tons exported until August, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal protein (ABPA).
As numbers raised by the entity, the sector also recorded growth in real exports in balance between January and August, reaching 16%, with a total of $ 2.3 billion. Foreign exchange revenue, there was a decrease of 15.4% over the same period, reaching $ 742,1 million.
"The positive rate should remain in this second half, influenced by purchases in Eastern Europe and Asia", says Rui Eduardo Vargas, Vice President of pigs from the ABPA.
As well as in the three previous months, shipments of pork meat in natura made in August were positive, with elevation of 21.3% in relation to the eighth month of 2014, reaching 42.1 thousand tons.
