Basket drops back in 13 cities in September, according to Dieese

The price of the basic food basket in September fell in 13 of the 18 cities surveyed by the Inter-union Department of statistics and socioeconomic studies (Dieese).
Research has shown that the biggest falls occurred in Bethlehem ( -4.56%), Fortress ( -3.88%), Recife ( -3.50%) and Goiânia ( -2.96%). The high were recorded in Belo Horizonte (0.23%), Curitiba (0.44%), Rio de Janeiro (0.74%), Victoria (0.99%) and Florianópolis (2.77%).
Between October and September 2014 2015, all cities have accumulated high in the basket price, which ranged from 4.70% in Recife and Aracaju 20.19%.

The situation is the same in the nine first months of 2015, with all cities showing increases. The greatest variation occurred in the cities of Aracaju (14.07%) and Curitiba (12.88%).
Porto Alegre is singled out as the capital with the most expensive basket: $ 385,70. The city was used for research as a reference for calculating the required minimum wage, according to Dieese, to defray the costs of a worker and his family with food, housing, health, education, clothing, hygiene, transportation, recreation and welfare.
In September 2015, the ideal value presented was $ 3,240 .27, or 4.22 times the current minimum wage of r $ 788. In September 2014, was $ 2,862 .73, corresponding to 3.95 times the previous minimum wage of R $ 724.
