Chrysler Group is renamed from FCA U.S. today

The Chrysler Group announced on Tuesday a change of company name to FCA U.S., after the creation in October of Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) with the acquisition by Fiat of the American manufacturer.
In a statement, the FCA U.S. indicated today that the change of name becomes effective immediately and that does not affect the location of its headquarters, which will continue in the u.s. city of Auburn Hills, or other aspects of its management.
' The company is still proud of his legacy as a whole. The FCA U.S. follows growing on the solid foundation established by Walter p. Chrysler in 1925, as well as about the rich legacy of Fiat started in 1899 ', said the company.
The FCA U.S. will maintain the names of the current group brands: Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and Jeep.
The company also markets in North America the Fiat and Alfa Romeo vehicles.
The Chrysler Group, name adopted in 2009 after leaving the moratorium under the management of Fiat, was previously called Chrysler LLC (2007-2009), Daimler Chrysler AG (1998-2007) and Chrysler Corporation (1925-1998).
