NOVARTIS ANALYZES WHAT WILL PRODUCE THE FACTORY OF PE

The future of company factory located in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pernambuco (PE), is being reviewed. The project was designed to produce recombinant proteins for a vaccine against meningitis B, however, with the recent acquisition of Novartis Vaccines by GlaxoSmithKline, the company is analyzing what will be produced in Pernambuco unit. "During this period, some investments and activities at the plant are on hold, which does not mean that the project will be discontinued, but will allow the correct setting in the configuration of the plant when we have more clarity of your targeting within the next few months," said the company in a statement.
