Hypermarcas profit rises 48.1% in Q3

Hypermarcas closed the third quarter with a profit of R $ 118,8 million, with high of 48% compared to the same period in 2013. Revenue climbed 6.8% over the same period, to $ 1.19 billion.
The result was driven mainly by the General expenditure, administrative control and co m sales, which fell 0.8% to r $ 244 million and also by 13% reduction in financial expenses, which stood at r $ 98.6 million.
The earnings before interest, taxes depreciation and amortization (Ebitda, in English) rose 8.1% to r $ 286,3 million. The Ebitda margin was 24.1%, with 0.3 percentage point high compared to a year earlier.
The result of the company, which produces medicines and personal hygiene items, was in line with the estimated by analysts. The average of five houses of analysis found the value pointed to a net profit of r $ 113.6 million in the range.
